Nutrition for your product

Functional

From plant to product

What are functional ingredients?

Most vitamins and minerals added to food are chemically synthesised. Ours are different. They’re extracted from real plants, fungi and algae – vitamin C from acerola cherry, vitamin D2 from shiitake mushroom, iron from curry leaf, calcium from algae – and manufactured here in the UK.

Because the nutrient arrives inside its natural food matrix, it comes with the polyphenols, co-enzymes and other biofactors that surround it in nature. That means a cleaner ingredient story for your label, and a nutrient the body recognises.

Grown, not made.

Why go natural?

Shoppers read labels, and “Ascorbic Acid” doesn’t read the same as “Acerola Cherry Extract (Vitamin C)”. Naturally-sourced nutrients let you list recognisable food names on-pack and support clean-label and organic positioning without changing your formulation specification.

They also perform. Our producer’s nutrients are backed by a two-year bioavailability and stability study with Swansea University, the only natural nutrient range with that evidence behind it. And with a 1kg minimum order, you can trial and reformulate without committing to volume.

Why it matters

Four reasons to choose natural over synthetic

Natural vitamins and minerals aren’t just a label claim. They change how a product reads, how it performs and how quickly you can get it to market. Here’s what sets them apart.

Clean label

Ingredient declarations list recognisable food names rather than chemical ones, so “Acerola Cherry Extract (Vitamin C)” instead of “Ascorbic Acid”.

Proven bioavailability

Clinically demonstrated bioavailability and full stability analysis from a two-year study with Swansea University.

Food matrix

Each nutrient comes with the polyphenols, co-enzymes and biofactors that accompany it in the plant, not an isolated compound.

Low minimum orders

A 1kg minimum order quantity lowers the barrier to trial, sampling, and reformulation.
