We’re Facilitate, here to help you make your brand grow through the possibilities of plants. Founded in 2015 and family-run, we’ve gone from consultancy to importer, building a network of growers and suppliers from Mexico to Sri Lanka along the way.

Great products start with great ingredients. But finding the right ones isn’t always simple. With decades of experience and a global network of growers, we know where the good stuff grows.

We only source ingredients we’d be proud to put into products and bring them directly to you. We know exactly where they come from, who grows them and how they get to you.

2026

Imports expanded to Japan and China, with South America coming into scope as the year progressed. Closer to home, we began championing innovative UK-made ingredients such as BIOVIT, a range of organic vitamins and minerals produced in the UK.

2025

Supplier relationships grew in both Mexico and Sri Lanka, and the portfolio expanded with them. We sharpened our focus on health, wellbeing and added-value ingredients, summed up in a simple promise: premium, with provenance you can stand behind.

2024

Our first import from new suppliers in Sri Lanka opened up the coconut portfolio, built on long-term relationships with farms where every ingredient can be traced back to its origin.

2022

James joined the business, bringing a focus on responsible sourcing, quality and operations. Ingredient sales continued to grow, and Facilitate became a family business in more than name.

2021

Our first imported container of Mexican agave arrived in the UK. It marked the start of the sourcing relationships in Mexico that still underpin our agave range today.

2020

With Brexit changing the best routes into the UK, we took stock of how ingredients could reach customers most reliably. An agreement with one of Peter’s consultancy clients at the time turned Facilitate from advisor into importer.

2015-2019

The early years were spent building a strong base of consultancy clients across food and drink, from emerging brands to established names. Peter facilitated several larger projects along the way, including work with Kerry, Univar Solutions and IMAG.

2015

Peter founded the business after 24 years in food and beverage, spanning brewing, flavours and ingredient supply. The idea was simple: use that experience to help brands find, understand and make the most of natural ingredients.

Meet the team

The people behind Facilitate.

Peter Naylor

Peter brings more than three decades of experience in the food and beverage industry. He founded Facilitate in 2015 after a career spanning brewing, flavours, ingredient supply and consultancy, building up a broad mix of industry knowledge and contacts along the way. Whether it’s helping to find new customers, opening up opportunities for your products or providing practical advice based on his own experience, Peter brings the right knowledge and connections to keep things moving forward.

James Naylor

James leads on quality and operations, overseeing standards at every stage of the supply chain. He’s driven by bringing standout, responsibly sourced ingredients to the brands that need them most, and loves working with emerging world-food brands to help them break into the UK and European markets without compromising on quality or transparency. Thanks to a strong network of partners, James helps businesses grow sustainably, built on ingredients that do right by people and the planet.
